GOLF IN PARADISE!

These modules are just examples of what Greenhaven can organise to satisfy your golfing needs. For the non-golfers, we create a parallel itinerary: while you play, they discover the beauty of this country, off the fairways!

THE SOUTH COAST ( 7 nights / 8 days )

Upon arrival in Johannesburg you are met by a Greenhaven representative who will assist you with check-in for your flight to Port Elizabeth. There, your guide/driver awaits you to bring you to a beautiful Private Game Reserve (malaria free). Enjoy an evening safari and a succulent dinner!
The next morning you play 18 holes at the Fish River Sun Resort or at Alicedale GC (Gary Player designed courses) before returning to the Game Lodge for your safari at sunset.
After an early morning game drive, your guide/driver brings you to Port Elizabeth where you pick up the rental car. Stretch your legs during a walk on the beach or enjoy the scenery from the balcony of your suite.
Golf is played this next morning at the Humewood Golf Club, considered as one of the best ‘Links’ courses in the country. Afternoon and evening at leisure in Port Elizabeth
The following day, you will absolutely love the park-like course of the Port Elizabeth Golf Club! After your game, you drive to Knysna via the scenic Garden Route and places like Tsitsikamma and Plettenberg Bay. Arrival at your hotel late afternoon.
No golf this following day, but a chance to explore Knysna and Plettenberg Bay during the Featherbed excursion or – if in season (from June through November) – a ‘close encounter with the whales’ boat trip in Plettenberg Bay.
Day 7 sees you playing the immaculate course of the Plettenberg Country Club or the Outeniqua or Montagu course in the fabulous Fancourt Resort in George. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.
You last morning is well spent: 18 holes in Fancourt Resort in George, on the Bramble Hill course. Later that afternoon you bring the rental car back and you fly to Johannesburg or Cape Town.

THE WINE REGION AND CAPE TOWN ( 4 nights / 5 days )

Upon arrival in Cape Town you are met by a Greenhaven representative who will assist you with picking up your rental car. A free afternoon to discover the Mother City or the wine region.
The next morning, you play 18 holes at Erinvale in Somerset West (where the SA Open are held). A free afternoon to explore Stellenbosch and the various wine estates.
No golf the following day, but maybe a visit to Franschoek and the Huguenots Museum with some wine tasting along the road.
Today you are booked to play the challenging Clovelly course in Cape Town. Afternoon at leisure.
Your last day can be spent visiting the Cape Peninsula ( Houtbay, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Good Hope, Simon’s Town, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens ) before heading for the airport. You bring the rental car back and board the plane for your return flight.

GOLF AND GAME DRIVES ( 8 nights / 9 days )

Upon arrival in Johannesburg you are met by a Greenhaven representative who will assist you with picking up your rental car. Discover the beautiful scenery on your way to Malelane, south of the Kruger National Park.
The next morning, you play the number 1 course in South Africa: Leopard Creek
Afternoon at leisure.
No golf the following day, as you might wish to go on a game drive in the Kruger Park!
The next day, you leave South Africa and you enter the tiny Kingdom of Swaziland. Admire the stunning views and visit the crafts market on your way to your hotel.
Day 5 you play the immaculate course at the Swazi Sun Resort. Afternoon at leisure.
The following day you leave Swaziland and you head for KwaZulu Natal.
No golf this next day, but time to discover the beauty of the St Lucia Wetlands during a boat cruise or to stalk rhinos on a game drive.
On day 8 you drive south along the beautiful coastline to Zimbali.
Your last morning is to be spend on the stunning course of Zimbali before you drive to Durban where you bring the rental car back at the airport.

GOLF AND GAME …. OR GAMBLING! ( 3 nights / 4 days )

Upon arrival in Johannesburg, your guide/driver awaits you to bring you to Sun City, on the doorstep of the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve (malaria free). Afternoon at leisure in this unique resort.
The next morning you play 18 holes at the famous Gary Player Country Club. Afternoon at leisure for maybe a visit to the Casino or a game drive.
The following day you play the Lost City Golf Course (with the crocodiles in the water feature!). Afternoon at leisure.
The next morning your driver/guide brings you back to Johannesburg Airport.
